Development time percentage is wrong Troubleshooting

I'm not sure if it is just my roaster, or all of them, but it seems the development percentage is wrong.

I needed to do some dark espresso roasts (early second crack) of some Swiss Water Decaff, (for a customer, don't ask) so anyway I set my development to go quite dark, initially setting it to 20%. However, my roast came out quite lighter than expected, so I went a higher even.

Long story short, I started calculating the development time myself and I got quite different numbers.

Roast #2 set to 30%
FC = 6:15 (375 seconds)
End = 805 (485 seconds)
375/485 = 0.773 times 100 = 77.3 minus 100 = 22.7%

Roast #3 set to 40%
FC = 5:44 (344 seconds)
End = 8:03 (483 seconds)
28.8%

Roast #4 set to 35%
FC = 5:55 (355 seconds)
End = 800 (480 seconds)
26%

Thanks for your feedback, and you are correct, the logic now is flawed. 

I will put this on our to-do list for our next firmware update so that the development percentage gives you the percentage of the total roast time.  I will keep you posted once we have a fix for it.

Yes, we need to update your machine, if you want we can arrange so that it will be updated the next time you turn it on and connect it to Wi-Fi. 

Would you like us to do that?
